Description

For your 1 hour flight to Izmir, you will be taken from the airport and transferred to airport. You will be greeted at Izmir Airport, an important city of Turkey, known as Smyrna in ancient times, and taken to Pergamum’s , an ancient acropolis, home to the Altar of Zeus and the Roman Medical Center of Asklepion. Later on you will be driven to Akhisar and will visit Thyatira  a city of artisans’ guilds in St. Paul’s time. At the end of our tour, we will return to Izmir for overnight stay.

Today we will discover the ancient, spectacular city, Ephesus with its expansive synthesis of Greco-Roman and Christian remains, it was the home of St. Paul between 54 and 57 AD and after that, The House of Virgin Mary, a marvellous place hidden in the green,with our professional guides. Finally, we stop at the restoration of St. John’s Basilica where according to legend, he was buried. In the evening we will proceed to Pamukkale.We have the chance of exploring an epic natural castle with its beautiful carbonate terraces and lime cascades of the Roman spa Hierapolis. Enjoy your hotel’s pool with warm mineral waters.

After having breakfast, we will visit the Laodicea, an early center of Christianity and one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Then we will proceed to Philadelphia in Alasehir, a favorite city of Paul and John. We visit Sardis, an extremely important ancient city and the capital of the Lydia Kingdom with its beautiful gymnasium and marble paved synagogue. Our guides will accompany you to the airport or hotel in Izmir.
